United Supply Company carries two types of dimout drapery linings.

The first is the traditional one pass dimout consisting of a polyester cotton blended base cloth with one pass of acrylic backing. A one pass dimout blocks approximately 50% of light transmission.

The second type, Gemini, is a dobby woven fabric with a dark fabric woven between two face fabrics creating a 95% block out of light transmission. Gemini can be used as either an interlining or a stand-alone drapery.

BlackOut Lite 1 pass is the best-selling dim-out.

Fire Retardant:
United Supply Company inventories light filtering and blackout drapery linings that are FR certified. Two types of FR certifications are available to meet requested specifications.

NFPA 701 Small Scale Certification is required for government, health care and hospitality facilities.

IMO MSC 88/26/Add.2 Part 7 is required for marine installation, cruise ships, yachts, etc.
